Tomoriva – Terms of Use

Version: TOU-2026-11-v3 · Last updated: 6 November 2026

Summary

  1. Tomoriva is for people 18 or older.
  2. You get a 14-day free trial from sign-up with no payment details and no charge. After that, Tomoriva costs AED 18 a month in the UAE, or the local price shown in the App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your store account.
  3. Kai is an AI and can be wrong. Check important dates and amounts.
  4. Tomoriva is a planner, not an adviser: nothing in it is financial, medical, legal or tax advice.
  5. Reminders can fail. Keep your own backup for anything with a fine or legal deadline.
  6. Your content is yours. Your rights as a consumer where you live are not affected.

1. About these Terms

Tomoriva is provided by Gifson Dsouza, individual developer (trading as Tomoriva), Al Warqa 1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). We plan to set up a company that will take over Tomoriva as the provider; we will tell you in the app before that happens, and your rights will not be reduced.

These Terms are a contract between you and us for the Tomoriva apps, the website version at tomoriva.app and related features (the "Service"). Our Privacy Policy (https://tomoriva.app/privacy) explains how we handle personal data. By creating an account you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't create an account.

2. Who can use Tomoriva

You must be at least 18, wherever you live, and able to make a binding contract. We ask for your birth year once after you first sign in. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete its data. Tomoriva is for personal, non-business use.

3. Your account

You can sign in with Apple, Google or a 6-digit code we email you, and you may set a password later. Keep your phone, email and accounts secure. One account is for one person. You are responsible for activity in your account unless it happened because we failed to protect it. Tell us at support@tomoriva.app if you think someone else got in.

4. Free trial, subscription and refunds

5. Kai, the AI guide

6. Not professional advice

Tomoriva helps you remember and plan. It is not a financial, investment, tax, legal, immigration, medical or health service, and nothing in it is professional advice. Monthly savings amounts are simple maths (amount left divided by months left), with no interest, returns, inflation, fees or taxes, and are not a forecast. Tomoriva does not hold or move money or connect to your bank. It is not a medical device and should not be your only medicine reminder. Speak to a qualified professional before important decisions. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

7. Reminders can fail

We work hard to deliver reminders, but they depend on things outside our control: your device settings (notifications, Focus, battery saving), your connection, and Apple, Google and push services. For anything where missing a date could cost you money, a fine, your legal status or your health, keep notifications on, check the official date and keep a second reminder of your own.

8. Your content

9. Other companies

Apple, Google, your phone system and calendar providers are run by others under their own terms. When you add a subscription, Tomoriva may show that service's name and a simple logo or letter tile. Names and logos of other services belong to their owners. Tomoriva shows them only to help you recognise your own subscriptions, and is not connected with or endorsed by them. We do not manage or cancel those subscriptions. Brand owners can contact support@tomoriva.app.

10. Acceptable use

Do not: break the law or use Tomoriva to harass, defraud, stalk or harm anyone; add content you have no right to add; track another person without their knowledge; try to reach other users' data or get around security, limits, trial or subscription checks; reverse-engineer or copy the app except where the law allows; overload the Service or use bots; or resell the Service.

11. Our app and your licence

Tomoriva, including its name, logo, design, software and Kai, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these Terms and your store's rules. We may change or remove features; if we remove a main paid feature, we tell you first.

12. Ending your use

13. Liability

14. Your responsibility

If you knowingly break these Terms or the law and that causes a claim against us by someone else, you cover our reasonable costs of that claim, as far as the law allows. This never applies to anything we caused.

15. Changes to these Terms

For important changes we tell you in the app at least 30 days before they apply, unless a change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before the change applies.

16. Law and disputes

Please contact support@tomoriva.app first; we aim to reply within 14 days. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in Dubai, and disputes go to the courts of Dubai. If you live in the EU, EEA, UK, India or another country that gives consumers this right, you keep your home country's mandatory protections and can bring a claim in your local courts. There is no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver.

17. General

If part of these Terms is invalid, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still do so later. We may transfer these Terms to a company that takes over Tomoriva without reducing your rights; we will tell you first. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and your store's terms are the whole agreement; on payments and refunds, the store's terms apply.

19. Apple App Store

If you got Tomoriva from the App Store: (a) these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and we are responsible for the app; (b) your licence covers Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store Usage Rules; (c) Apple has no duty to provide support; (d) if the app fails a warranty, you may tell Apple, which will refund any purchase price, and Apple has no other warranty duty as far as the law allows; (e) Apple is not responsible for claims about the app, including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection or privacy claims; (f) Apple is not responsible for intellectual property claims about the app; (g) you confirm you are not in a US-embargoed country and not on a US government restricted-party list; (h) you must follow third-party terms that apply, such as your mobile data contract; (i) questions go to us (section 18); (j) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries and may enforce these Terms against you. These Terms apply together with Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

20. Google Play

If you got Tomoriva from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to your purchase. Google is not a party to these Terms.
